If your business benefits from tourism dollars in any way, shape or form, then you may already be aware of the efforts of Visit Walla Walla, our local destination marketing organization. Visit Walla Walla is dedicated to increasing tourism revenues in the Walla Walla Valley. They do this through a variety of methods; social media marketing, email marketing, public relations efforts, digital advertising, physical advertising, local event support, and more.
Beginning in 2022, Visit Walla Walla introduced a NEW way to increase tourism revenues in Walla Walla. And it promises to directly support YOUR small business in your marketing efforts.
Every quarter, Visit Walla Walla hosts a free marketing training for local businesses to take advantage of. Recent topics include email marketing, social media marketing, and taking advantage of the Visit Walla Walla resources to reach new subscribers. There are PR and event marketing sessions in the works for future quarters as well. Stakeholders can submit their ideas on marketing topics they’re most interested in learning about.
The marketing training sessions are hosted at the Walla Walla Regional Airport Conference Center, and are also recorded so that businesses unable to attend in person can still benefit from the content that is being presented. The first 40 minutes or so of the session are for the training, with ample time for questions at the end. This is an exceptional way to enhance your business marketing efforts and learn how to better take advantage of Visit Walla Walla as a resource.
The success of our local businesses in attracting tourism will directly impact the bottom line. When your business can market more effectively, it attracts more visitors to the community to spend their vacation dollars. We are thrilled about this free resource to the local business community and look forward to seeing you at a future session.
